Kenneth I. Wolpin is the Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professor in the Social Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. He has previously been on the faculty at New York University, the University of Minnesota, The Ohio State University and Yale University. From 1983-1987, he served as the Principal Investigator of the National Longitudinal Surveys of Labor Market Experience, one of the major large-scale surveys used by social scientists, and later headed the design team that developed the survey instrument for the newest NLS cohort (the 1997 youth cohort). He has authored or co-authored over 60 professional papers. His contributions span labor economics, economic demography, development economics, health economics and empirical methodology.
