RESEARCH PROGRAMS, 2011/2012

The Cowles Foundation provides support for research and research related activities through four core Research Program Areas: Econometrics, Economic Theory, Macroeconomics, and Structural Microeconomics. Each of these broad areas has deep ties to the Cowles tradition and provides a foundation for other fields of inquiry in economics and related fields.

Cowles Program Areas sponsor visiting faculty and post-docs, organize conferences, and provide other research resources at Yale:

       ECONOMETRICS

       ECONOMIC THEORY

       MACROECONOMICS
          Directors: Giuseppe Moscarini and Aleh Tsyvinski

          Directors: Costas Meghir and Phil Haile

From time to time, Cowles also sponsors shorter-term research initiatives in an area of emerging interest. Currently, Cowles is in the middle of such a special initiative in COMPUTATION.
